Be a superhero with me!
Hi, my name is Charlie, and I’m 10 years old. I have always loved skipping, and it’s one of my favorite things to do. But in 2022, something happened that changed my life. I was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor. It was really scary, but thanks to the amazing people at Holland Bloorview, I am now healthier and happier than ever.
After my surgery, I went to Holland Bloorview for recovery. I had to learn how to walk again, and it was really hard at first. But the doctors, nurses, and therapists were so kind and patient with me. They helped me every step of the way, and after eight weeks, I was able to leave feeling strong and confident. Now, I can skip again, and it feels amazing!
Holland Bloorview is a very special place, and I want to help other kids have the same chance to get better as I did. That’s why I am supporting their Capes for Kids campaign.
